About Me
This is my soapbox, my high horse and the place from which I occasionally make cogent assessments of the world in which which live. Sometimes it’s just noise.
I’m the West Coast editor of The Next Web, and a generally curious and inquisitive human being. As such, I’m interested in the evolution of culture as enabled by technology and I’ve covered the topic of startups and techpreneurship for top publications such as Mashable, VentureBeat, GigaOm and ScribeMedia. I’m also the co-founding editor of AltTransport, a Breaking Media site about sustainable transportation, cleantech and innovating the ways in which people move.
This is a personal blog and reflects my thoughts and feelings. Any overlap between the words that appear on these pages and the sentiment of employers or collaborators is purely coincidental, and more likely an accident. While I don’t court controversy, I won’t shy away from it either. If something needs to be said, I will. Whether this will prove to be costly remains to be seen, but I’d rather be open with my thoughts and capture the moment as it was experienced.
